Transportation
Reaching the Jebel Akhdar hiking trails requires a 4x4 vehicle. From Nizwa, follow the signs towards Jebel Akhdar. You will reach a police checkpoint where you will need to show your vehicle registration to prove it is a 4x4. Continue driving up the winding mountain road. Many trailheads are located near the villages along the road. Taxis with 4x4 vehicles are available from Nizwa.
